WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
Recent years have exposed considerable and system-altering threats to global health. The World Health Organization (WHO) struggles with its mandate of ensuring that health resources reach the developing countries that need them most. Pandemics and natural disasters have made coordinating health responses more challenging in a more vulnerable world. This WHO committee of India, China, Germany, France, Liberia, Brazil, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Venezuela, and others will attempt to face these unprecedented crises united, but delegates will have to navigate opposing geopolitical aims to secure their own interests in a world where even basic access to healthcare is political.
This committee will be run with consideration for newer delegates and delegates looking for a more guided conference experience. Delegates will receive additional resources to support their weekend of competition, and all committee staff will be prepared for a greater degree of flexibility, approaching the conference with a mindset of teaching and mentoring.
